Pentagon and Army Preparing for Economic Collapse

So there it is, out in plain sight. This news story focused on this 'war-game' scenario in the context of some sort of economic attack from China (which is definitely possible), but obviously the same scenario would apply if the economy of the US were to have a sudden and severe collapse. So, I ask you, why would the Pentagon be training the army to deal with the consequences of a wide-spread severe economic collapse if they didn't at least consider it to be a potential threat to our country in the near future? Suddenly gives you a lot more insight as to what all those FEMA camps might be for, doesn't it? (information on that coming in future posts).
