Police State and FEMA, part 2

Setting The Stage
So, shortly after posting part 1 of this two-part post, I ran across this video on RT, and figured it's an appropriate place to start this train of thought:

What's important to consider here is really stated in the first minute or so... That our government knowingly imprisoned innocent men, and will continue to do so, indefinitely, as recently ordered by President Obama himself as per the Preventive and Indefinite Detention proposal Obama first introduced in 2009. This is so outrageous that even Rachel Maddow had to rant about it! When you hold the previous video to these, it paints a rather interesting picture indeed:

The Rise of FEMA

So, according to this new law, fully sponsored and supported by the DHS, anyone who the government suspects may commit a crime can be detained indefinitely, without trial. According to DHS and Napolitano, political activists, conspiracy theorists, Ron Paul Supporters, Veterans, and other groups are "potential terrorists"... Yeah, it doesn't take a genius to see where this is going... either you agree with the state, or you go to jail (remember that "terrorism detection" training video I posted earlier??)

It only gets worse... The following videos list some of the other laws and executive orders passed by presidents all the way back to FDR (who, by the way, signed an executive order allowing for the detention of all Japanese Americans during WWII) to, more or less, establish FEMA…. But before we get into that, it’s important to know exactly what an Executive Order really is.

According to Wikipedia, an executive order is “an order issued by the President, the head of the executive branch of the federal government… The term "Executive Orders" and the numbered list of them were created in 1907, but U.S. Presidents have issued instructions that are retroactively labeled Executive Orders since 1789, usually to guide officers and agencies of the Executive branch in managing the operations within the Federal Government itself. Executive orders can have the full force of law if they are made in pursuance of certain Acts of Congress, some of which specifically delegate to the President some degree of discretionary power (delegated legislation). Other Executive Orders not authorized by Congress are claimed to have their authority for issuances based in a power inherently granted to the Executive by the Constitution. It is these cited or perceived justifications made by a President when authoring Executive Orders that have come under criticism for exceeding Executive authority and have been subject to legal proceedings even at various times throughout U.S. history concerning the legal validity or justification behind an order's issuance.”

So, even Wikipedia alludes to the potential unconstitutionality and overreaching power of an executive order. Here’s another definition, as defined by thisnation.com:

“Executive Orders (EOs) are legally binding orders given by the President, acting as the head of the Executive Branch, to Federal Administrative Agencies. Executive Orders are generally used to direct federal agencies and officials in their execution of congressionally established laws or policies. However, in many instances they have been used to guide agencies in directions contrary to congressional intent.
Not all EOs are created equal. Proclamations, for example, are a special type of Executive Order that are generally ceremonial or symbolic, such as when the President declares National Take Your Child To Work Day. Another subset of Executive Orders are those concerned with national security or defense issues. These have generally been known as National Security Directives. Under the Clinton Administration, they have been termed "Presidential Decision Directives."
Executive Orders do not require Congressional approval to take effect but they have the same legal weight as laws passed by Congress. The President's source of authority to issue Executive Orders can be found in the Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution which grants to the President the "executive Power." Section 3 of Article II further directs the President to "take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed." To implement or execute the laws of the land, Presidents give direction and guidance to Executive Branch agencies and departments, often in the form of Executive Orders.
Executive Orders are controversial because they allow the President to make major decisions, even law, without the consent of Congress. This, of course, runs against the general logic of the Constitution -- that no one should have power to act unilaterally. Nevertheless, Congress often gives the President considerable leeway in implementing and administering federal law and programs. Sometimes, Congress cannot agree exactly how to implement a law or program. In effect, this leaves the decision to the federal agencies involved and the President that stands at their head. When Congress fails to spell out in detail how a law is to be executed, it leaves the door open for the President to provide those details in the form of Executive Orders.”

Now that you know exactly what an EO is, here are a list of EO’s currently on the books today:

Executive Order Number 12148 created the Federal Emergency Management Agency that is to interface with the Department of Defense for civil defense planning and funding. An "emergency czar" was appointed. FEMA has only spent about 6 percent of its budget on national emergencies… I cannot say for certain where the rest of their money has gone, but according to many rumors I have heard, the bulk of their funding has been used for the preparation and construction of facilities to assure continuity of government in case of a major emergency, foreign or domestic. When you see the last video I show in this post, this really wouldn’t surprise you, though again, I do not know, nor can I verify, where the other 94% of their budget goes.

Executive Order Number 12656 appointed the National Security Council as the principal body that should consider emergency powers. This allows the government to increase domestic intelligence and surveillance of U.S. citizens and would restrict the freedom of movement within the United States and grant the government the right to isolate large groups of civilians. The National Guard could be federalized to seal all borders and take control of U.S. air space and all ports of entry. Here are just a few Executive Orders associated with FEMA that would suspend the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. These Executive Orders have been on record for nearly 30 years and could be enacted by the stroke of a Presidential pen:

EXECUTIVE ORDER 10990 allows the government to take over all modes of transportation and control of highways and seaports.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 10995 allows the government to seize and control the communication media.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 10997 allows the government to take over all electrical power, gas, petroleum, fuels and minerals.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 10998 allows the government to take over all food resources and farms.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11000 allows the government to mobilize civilians into work brigades under government supervision.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11001 allows the government to take over all health, education and welfare functions.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11002 designates the Postmaster General to operate a national registration of all persons.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11003 allows the government to take over all airports and aircraft, including commercial aircraft.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11004 allows the Housing and Finance Authority to relocate communities, build new housing with public funds, designate areas to be abandoned, and establish new locations for populations.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11005 allows the government to take over railroads, inland waterways and public storage facilities.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11051 (THIS IS A BIG ONE!) specifies the responsibility of the Office of Emergency Planning and gives authorization to put all Executive Orders into effect in times of increased international tensions and economic or financial crisis.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11310 grants authority to the Department of Justice to enforce the plans set out in Executive Orders, to institute industrial support, to establish judicial and legislative liaison, to control all aliens, to operate penal and correctional institutions, and to advise and assist the President.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11049 assigns emergency preparedness function to federal departments and agencies, consolidating 21 operative Executive Orders issued over a fifteen year period.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11921 (THIS IS ANOTHER BIG ONE!) allows the Federal Emergency Preparedness Agency to develop plans to establish control over the mechanisms of production and distribution, of energy sources, wages, salaries, credit and the flow of money in U.S. financial institution in any undefined national emergency. It also provides that when a state of emergency is declared by the President, Congress cannot review the action for six months. The Federal Emergency Management Agency has broad powers in every aspect of the nation.

Don’t believe me? Well, you can go look them up for yourself right here, and see every EO that has been written to date.

In order to emphasise how striking this is, here are a couple quick videos on the subject. Again, pay particular attention to EO 11921 and EO 11051, and think about what that potentially entails. Also, pay close attention to NSPD/HSPD 20 / 51.

And that's just up to 2007. Here's a look at what's happened since then (personal note, while this person seems to defend the right wing and be of more of a political slant than I like, the information is still enlightening. Again, I challenge you to look up these acts and EO's for yourself.. I haven't looked them –all- up yet, but I am familiar with 13528, which will come up again in the final video).

So where does this all eventually lead us? I'd like to leave you with a final mini-documentary that explores FEMA in greater detail. I’ve been familiar with FEMA and its gross miss-management of funding for a few years now, and I’ve heard the rumors of FEMA camps for about the same amount of time… Like many things, I initially dismissed it as conspiracy, but the more I actually stopped dismissing and started investigating, the more and more I’m not so comfortable writing it off any more. In fact, I’m very concerned.

I've watched several of Jesse's episodes, and usually, I find them entertaining and somewhat educational, but even I have a hard time believing -everything- he discusses in his shows. However, this episode in particular was very well done (I think) and I don't think he ever (seriously, anyway) crossed that line of getting 'too extreme'. Interestingly enough, while TRUTV continues to show other episodes in his series, they pulled this particular episode, and will not show it on their network again. It's the only episode that that's happened to, which, even for a guy like me, is fairly interesting to say the least. I suggest you watch it while you can, before they remove it on Youtube too.

Now, again, I don't suggest I know exactly where we're going, or that I know exactly what's going to happen... But I -do- know how to connect dots, and for me, these dots couldn't be any more connected if they were numbered and put in a child's coloring book.

Several posts ago, I told you about something called "Unified Quest 2011". Effectively a Pentagon "wargame", it's training the military to deal with maintaining civil order and dealing with the consequences of severe, prolonged economic collapse:

Google it for yourself... and ask yourself, how unrealistic does it all seem now?

I'm not saying that any of this is for sure going to happen, but I know that the pieces are in place, and I know that the global domino's are starting to fall. Knowing what you've seen after this post... knowing how close we are to the edge of a serious economic collapse and witnessing the things that have already happened, knowing about FEMA and all the executive orders that are in place to impose upon us an unprecedented state of military control, and knowing that we already have the infrastructure in place to detain MASSIVE quantities of civilians, -and- that it has all happened before, ask yourself again, is it really that absurd, unreasonable, or 'crazy' to prepare? And more importantly, ask yourself where we draw the line, and what -you- are doing to take a stand..

Even Glenn Beck has a little bit of common sense every now and then:
